So my conclusion: I've to spend more time in supporting exim.

Things I can offer/do (if not already done):

    - host a Subversion (or Mercurial) repository
    - fix the bugs I reported
    - try to fix other bugs
    - take part in development (e.g. the callout code should
      be able to use the transports)
