In the second patch, the definition of SIGNAL_BOOL was instead placed in exim.h after <signal.h> was included. So either you applied the first patch, which would also break local_scan compilation, or your platform does not define sig_atomic_t when <signal.h> is included. If the latter, can you let me know which is the correct header on your platform, please?
