If you are asking for my stance, it is unknown. As I said, the content scanning isn't my area of expertise. I suppose I would expect serious content-scanning to be carried out by programs other than Exim, as is currently the case. I originally provided the local_scan() interface for this purpose and Tom added the ACL interfaces to virus scanners and SpamAssassin.
