Hello all newbee here. I hve searched forums and google and cant find any
answers. so please be gentle.

currently running debian only as a web server. need exim to send a messege
every so often. I thought I had configured incorrectly so I ran apt-get
remove exim4 when that did not remove the config files I blew them away my
self.

after that I ran dpkg -r exim4 and dpkg-p exim4 then reinstalled exim4.
upon reinstall it did not go through configuration like it should. and It
did not make the directory /etc/exim4 so I created that directory and
installed exim4 again. Long story short is I am missing some config files
and I cant get exim to restart by typing in /etc/init.d/exim4 restart.

also when trying to send a message I get this error.

this thread please e-mail me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] also.
