I have an original exim4.tar of the configuration. I did the same thing 
the first time I setup my mail server and couldn't figure out for the 
life of me how to get it back. From then on, I've always made a backup. 
If you cannot fix it otherwise, send me an email in private and I'll 
attach them and email them to you.0
