I'm running a relay server with exim4 on Ubuntu 12.04 and baruwa 2.0. I
have a single domain I relay to that is being bounced by the scanner
with the following errors
Sender error:
A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:
ray@domain <mailto:[email protected]>
queued for message checks: retry timeout exceeded
Server error:
2013-02-11 13:23:40 1U4yyZ-0000oH-US == pete@domain R=message_checks
defer (-1): queued for message checks
2013-02-11 13:23:40 1U4yyZ-0000oH-US ** pete@domain: retry timeout exceeded
The problem just started over the weekend.
I can telnet and ping the receiving mail server just fine.quit
I have googled around for a solution, but nothing I have found fixes the
issue. The server seems to be happy with all other domains we relay to.
