Wed Drinks
We had a good time last week at Hemingway’s and look forward to the possibility of doing it there again in the near future (by the way Hemingway’s has a nightly happy hour from 6-8). This week we are headed back to The Shamrock the original home of Runaway's Alternative Expat Nights. For you first time readers let me explain what this is about. Wednesdays have long been a traditional night in Moscow, well in fact a lot of places around the world, to meet with fellow business people over drinks to socialize and make new contacts. The idea started here in the mid nineties, but only really took off when the staff of the "Meeting Point" started with it's venue at Planet Hollywood (Giving credit where credit is due). In the early part of 2000 the group split into a couple of areas because of venues and "Meeting Point" as well as the "Alternative Night"(Sponsored by Runaway Promotions) continued well into 2005. Since that time there has been an absence of such get togethers other then those thrown together by those of you on the site. I am trying to put together a monthly schedule of upcoming events so that you can plan accordingly, next week we will try out “Justo Bains Douche” located at Theatralnaya Prozd. 3 / str. 3 Lybyanka, Across from Bentley Ferrari and thru shlack balm (car gate). I will post specials later but at the moment it looks like 1/2 Price beer and house wine - Buffet at no charge plus they will be giving away Club Cards. In the upcoming weeks we will visit the VooDoo Lounge, an Indian restaurant, plus a couple of different pubs so stay tuned in for up coming events. As I always say: What's the worse thing can happen? you could have a little fun? Hope to see you there!
