Expat/Russian business mixer _____ Wed Drinks (Shamrock)
We were planning on heading to “Justo Bains Douche” this week but the manager was called away on business and to be honest I am not comfortable trying out a new place without everything in place so we have postponed that visit until the first week of October. Because of the lack of time I am setting things up again this week at the Shamrock, though if some of you would like to stop by and see DJ at Hemingway’s I am sure he will treat you right, their Happy Hour is until 8pm. We had a good time last week at the Shamrock so why not try it again, this week there will be live music after 9pm. The Shamrock the original home of Runaway's “Alternative Expat Nights”. For you first time readers let me explain what this is about. Wednesdays have long been a traditional night in Moscow, well in fact a lot of places around the world, to meet with fellow business people over drinks to socialize and make new contacts. The idea started here in the mid nineties, but only really took off when the staff of the "Meeting Point" started with it's venue at Planet Hollywood (Giving credit where credit is due). In the early part of 2000 the group split into a couple of areas because of venues and "Meeting Point" as well as the "Alternative Night"(Sponsored by Runaway Promotions) continued well into 2005. Since that time there has been an absence of such get togethers other then those thrown together by those of you on the site. We hope to visit the VooDoo Lounge next week but stay tuned for changes and upcoming events. As I always say: Hope to see you there!
