I also have been looking at investing in the Ruble and the best rate i
could find was Alfa bank at 8% and for that you had to tie up your money
for 1 year.

Dear list,
word has it that some Russian banks pay interest to ruble deposits at
roughly the rate of inflation. But ING, where I bank, would only give less
than six percent p.a., which seems a pretty bad deal given an inflation
rate of more than 11 percent. Can anybody recommend a bank and give some
details about procedures and trappings?
Thanks, Nikolaus_______________________________________________
