Hey Roger, I smoke once in a while, not an aficionado as you, but used to live with Cubans in NYC, so got a feel for it over time. Anyway, did you try Suzy Wong on Timura Frunze? It’s a nice lounge and I think they'd allow you to smoke there. Also try Solyanka. It’s a club on the weekends, but also a restaurant café during the week. I see people smoking cigars there regularly. I have also seen people smoke at лебединое озеро (Swan Lake), the new terrace/outdoors place on the backside of Park Kulturi.
These places are all nice, but not so elitny. I've found a great shop for buying cigars (Gallereya Gradusov on Serpukhovsky Val), but I can't really find a nice, comfortable bar or restaurant for smoking them (in fact I was even kicked out of Silver's for smoking a cigar!). Is there anyone who knows of any cigar-friendly, not-so-elitny places, where one can go, where there's a good atmosphere, without the booming techno and without a sushi menu?
