Thanks everyone for the English kids' TV advice.
In the end I opted for Beeline, which has a few English kids' channels (didn't
need many), and I got optic-cable Internet kinda thrown in at the same time.
Not sure I'd recommend Beeline TV though. The receiver thingie is unstable, the
remote wasn't set up for the receiver, and various other petty tortures were
endured.
If you want fast Internet though, a few Eng kids channels, also BBC World, CNN,
Bloomberg (all in Eng) - then it might be worth a shot. It's about 800 rouble
month.
