[expert] Mandrake 5.3 Screen Lock

I upgraded my Mandrake 5.2 with the complete set of Mandrake 5.3 rpms.

I can not unlock the screen lock once it locks my system.
I can only turn off the computer:(
I am using the same password that i used in the console that I launched
startx (KDE) from.

Does anyone know of a "fix"?

Which KDE rpm could I "degrade" to go back to the old screen lock?

Any ideas?
