[expert] Linuxconf stooped working after kernel 2.2.3

Hi,
        I just found out that my linuxconf opens fine but when I click on
anything it does not display it on the right hand side anymore and does
not complain about anything. It does work if I am not in the xwindows. It
just does not work when I have kde up and running.
        Any ideas where to look or what to look for as to the reason it
has stopped working?
