Hi,

I?m having two problems after made the upgrade to kernel 2.2, one at home (1)
and the second one (2) at my workplace.

1. I downloaded all the files from mandrake site to upgrade to kernel 2.2 (I?m
using Mandrake 5.3 Festen).
I followed the procedures, but when I reboot the machine I get the following
error message:

Partition Check:
hda: hda1 hda2
kernel panic: VFS: unable to mount root FS on 03:07

My linux system is installed under hda7 (logical partition), ...it seems like
it can?t recognize the hda7 partition?, any idea on how to resolve
this problem ?.

2. After the upgrade process it seems like it changed some kind of parameter
related with my Xwindow system. I?m using KDE with and AGP ATI 3D RAGE IIC
card. Before the upgrade X worked perfect, but after upgrading I get some
errors with the display when KDE is loaded (like problems related to the
refresh rate or some parameter of that). The XF86config file is the same I had
first to make the upgrade.
Also I tried to uninstall the kernel-2.2.rpm and load again KDE and it worked
perfect. Any kind of idea ??.

Thanks in advance for any suggestion.
