[expert] OT: Trying to get access to scsi

I know this is off topic but since I am using Mandrake  distro I
thought it was worth a try. I upgraded the kernel using the2.2.5 rpm's
from Mandrake.  How do I get it to recognize my scsi card?  I know that
this kernel build has support for it as it was an option when I
unsuccessfully tried to compile a kernel myself. At the moment it just
has a scanner on it but I also use a jaz drive.  In advance thanks.
