You're overjumping the gun a bit on the defense. The flags that
Bernhard's referring to DO NOT refer to UDMA33 nor 32bit DMA. The
32-bit IO mode flag has nothing to do with DMA, only with the internal
32-bit path to the drive controller. The flag has been in hdparm for at
least 3 years, and does result in a bit more performance out of standard
drives/controllers.
