[expert] gnome-terminal ain't scrolling right

Hi!Just installed mandrake tonight (1st time for mandrake) and it's
looking good. One problem thought: I'm using gnome, and forsome reason
whenever the text starts to scroll off the bottom of the terminal,
rather than scrolling the text in the window the bottom line gets
rewritten over, repeatedly. I didn't have this problem with starbuck so
I'm doubting its redhat. Do I need to take this up with the gnome folks?

Also, how do I get X to default to gnome rather than kde?
