Tom,

Hi Tom. I support Netscape where I work and we've had bus errors
too with netscape on HP-UX. The problem usually is a result of incompatible
files in your .netscape directory between versions. From one version to
the next netscape can have problems reading it's config files and cache.
Try moving your .netscape directory to .netscape.old and rerunning netscape.
It should remake a new .netscape directory. If that works then just copy over
any .adb (address book) files and your bookmarks.html file. Dont copy over
your preferences.js file, just reconfigure your netscape throught the edit
-> preferences menu. If you run into any trouble reading your mail or
opening messenger after this then go into your ~/nsmail directory and
do a rm -f .*.summary to remove messengers cache files. There can get
corrupted very easily.

Cheers.
Sheldon.
