Tom,
It sounds like the problem could be related the XWindows video driver. I
know this may sound weird but did you reconfigure xwindows with a different
dirver? I user a Matrox G2000 as well I know there is a problem with that
particular code of the Xwindows video driver. I had to use one for the
G1000 with 4mg ram and it worked fine.
