Hi,
from the Security HowTo:

Find all SUID/SGID programs on your system, and keep track of what they are, so
you are aware of any changes
which could indicate a potential intruder. Use the following command to
find all SUID/SGID programs on your
     system:

                     root# find / -type f \( -perm -04000 -o -perm -02000 \)

You can descriminitely remove the SUID or SGID permissions on a suspicious
program with chmod(1), then
change it back if you absolutely feel it is necessary.

As for cron programs: 'man crontab (1+5), man cron'. To edit a crontab file:

crontab -e

If you are root and want to edit the crontab of another user:

crontab -u [user] -e

It's as easy as that.
