hi all,

one week ago when my friend telnetted into my machine, i tried using kvt
under kde to have a 'write' session with him. he couldn't 'see' me and
he had to start a xterm window so i could use write with him.

the following is extracted from an email with him:

>>Another thing, I checked the terminal window I have on my
>>panel, and it is kvt.... and it runs bash also, just like the xterm
>>does. So can't figure out why you couldn't see me from the kvt
>>but could from the xterm.

>xterm does this initialization, and then starts a shell.

i would like to be able to use kvt to hold write/talk sessions... as it
scrolls and the info in it can then be saved to a file.... so all
instructions on things in that session won't be lost as it is with
xterm.

anybody feel like writing out detailed instructions on how i could do
this, if it is possible?

it would be much appreciated!

karen
