I get repeated failures of KPPP, usually with a message
similar to the following:

JuJul 11 14:17:03 localhost pppd[1507]: pppd 2.3.7 started by irv, uid 501
Jul 11 14:17:03 localhost pppd[1507]: Using interface ppp0
Jul 11 14:17:03 localhost pppd[1507]: Connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/ttyS0
Jul 11 14:17:07 localhost pppd[1507]: local IP address 206.30.207.26
Jul 11 14:17:07 localhost pppd[1507]: remote IP address 206.30.220.9
Jul 11 15:06:00 localhost pppd[1507]: Hangup (SIGHUP)
Jul 11 15:06:01 localhost pppd[1507]: Modem hangup
Jul 11 15:06:01 localhost pppd[1507]: Connection terminated.
Jul 11 15:06:01 localhost pppd[1507]: Connect time 49.0 minutes.
Jul 11 15:06:01 localhost pppd[1507]: Sent 20986 bytes, received 122072 bytes.
Jul 11 15:06:06 localhost pppd[1507]: Exit

My question: where is the SIGHUP coming from? This is not a "timeout'
from my ISP, since:
1. I was downloading mail when this quit, and
2. when there is an idle timeout, I receive a message to that effect.

So I assume some program in _my_ computer is sending the SIGHUP, right?
Anyone know how to find out which one and why?

Thanks,
Irv Mullins
