Sorry misuderstanding, the chip gets activated just not tweaked.
I think Bernhard has enabled, key word there is think, the
CONFIG_BLK_DEV_VIA82C586 in the last kernel build i saw, i know it's
definatly not in 2.2.9-19mdk. Which is why you don't see it.
