Are you sure that the raid is running before mounting the device... like
raidadd -a?
and raidrun -a?

Hope this help. Carl St-Jacques

Subject: [expert] /dev/md0 autodetect fail!

Hi,
I got problem on the mirror/raid1 auto-mount during boot!
It is running on cooker w/kernel 2.2.10
    I had build-up a mirror system with /dev/md0, /dev/md1 & /dev/md2 by
following:-
non-raid / boot
-------------------------------------
/dev/hda1 /
/dev/hda2 extend
  /dev/hda5 /mirror
  /dev/hda6 swap
-------------------------------------
raid1 config
-------------------------------------
/dev/hdc1+hdd1 /dev/md0 /vhome
/dev/hdc2+hdd2 /dev/md1 /home
/dev/hdc3+hdd3 /dev/md2 /var
-------------------------------------
I tar all /vhome, /home & /var to /mnt/md0,md1&md2
I could mount it... after raidstart /dev/md0,md1&md2...
but problem is after re-boot...
After SCSI detect...
Auto-Detect Raid Array...
...DONE.
it seem nothing detected!
I got /etc/raidtab & /etc/raid1.conf!
