[expert] multiple questions Tape drive and ftp access

1) is there a way i can get a conner tapstor rive workimg under mandrake?

2) What files have to be configured for access to ftp running on the
system.. my problem is i coonect from my windows machine but i cannot upload
any files?

any help would be appreciated,
