Okay, and whats up with ftp to?!!? hosts.allow, hosts.deny, and inetd.conf seem fine
but even if i try to ftp from the machine to the local machine its not
working!!!! this is making me almost wish back for the days of slackware when
everything (text based that is ;-) seemed to work by default... does the
basic installation disable these basic services? this is really driving me fscking
crazy that i can't even get goddamned telnet and ftp working? what is
this, windows????

Michael
