Hi all,
First, let me say I am a little more than a newbie, but a lot less than an
expert, so be gentle!
Right now I am running a web server on a win98 box, Apache 1.3.9 to be
exact. I want to run the server under Linux cause I'm tired of having to
reboot a couple time a week. So this weekend I installed Mandrake 6.0, and
tried installing Xitami web server. (I want the ftp server included with
Xitami ). However when I tried to run it, it said ports 80 & 21 were
already in use. I can run it fine with -d 2000 which moves the ports to
2080 and 2021. However I don't want to have to add :2080, etc. to my ip
address for people to connect. I want to be able to use the default ports.
So my question is, how can I find out what's using 80 & 21, and if I do,
how can I move them to another port so Xitami will be able to access them?
And CAN I do this?

Thanks,
Richard
