Right, the thing is this, though: diskdrake doesn't have any visible features that
actually PERFORM these actions. Of
course, I've already read through all of this on the diskdrake page, and it's FAQ.
However, John Harrold also replied,
saying that I could also use fips combined w/ ext2resize. Of course, most of us are
familiar w/ fips: it's (supposedly)
one of the best programs written. This is all well and good for shrinking my vfat
partition. However, has anyone had
any experience w/ ext2resize? I'm gonna try and write the author to ask about it's
stability and ability to
non-destructively resize ext2 partitions, but since he lives in new zealand (I think),
I also would greatly appreciate
any info you guys may have on the subject. I'm not gonna transfer the hdd space until
I either get an actual backup
working that I can backup my ext2fs on, or have a fairly good idea that it WON'T screw
up all my data. Thanks for all
