Well, see, that's the thing. If I don't run the SMP kernel
it works fine. Someone suggested I try adding "noaip" at
the lilo prompt and see if that fixes it. According to the
kernel doc files, that option is to solve some motherboards
that are "broken" (have buggy "advanced" I/O.)
