John,
I'm running an Intel PR440FX "Providence" motherboard with dual P-Pro
180/256 overclocked to 233. The motherboard has Adaptec AIC-7880, Intel
EtherExpress Pro 10/100, CS4236 sound all on the motherboard. I have 2 Quantum
xp3250 7200rpm SCSI drives, I also have a Seagate 4.3 gig EIDE drive with an
IDE CD-Rom and an IDE CD-RW. I have Mandrake 6.0 running just fine. I did a
standard install and have had no problems at all with lockups.
In fact, right now, I have Krabber 0.43 running and it is currently ripping a
CD and converting it into MP3.
