Twice now, I have had my server pretty much die because amd screwed up. I rely pretty heavily on automount, so when it dies, bad things happen. In the week that I've had this server up with Mandrake 6.0 (and yes, I've done the updates), it's died twice now. The following are the log messages I get when it happens. Does anyone know what's happening or how I can fix it or work around it (besides not using automount)? The /bin/sh after a bunch of garbage makes me think someone is trying to hack me with a buffer-overflow attack, but I'm not sure. It seems to be blocked, but the problem is that it then kills amd and I have to reboot. Even if it's not getting through to my server, it's becoming a definite denial-of-service attack.
