No, my point was (I should have said more clearly), that when adding an
account, either through linuxconf, or by adduser, mailboxes *aren't*
created for some reason on my machine. It's weird, but so is a lot of
stuff about this machine. It's an upgrade from 5.3, and some may
remember I was having problems with wine a while ago. Well, I think the
cause is X, because trying to display a wine session from a friends
machine on mine causes the exact same problems as running wine
locally.... X can't display any more programs, even thought they start.
I think it could be something to do with X authority files, etc.
