Then there will be installed many useless (for me) stuff. I will simple
browse all the packages without expanding-stuff.

Gotcha... B-) You have to press F4 and then you can choose different views
(all, packages, only sources) and everything is fine. For me this feature
is a must-have, but different people, different views.

I installed Mandrake 6.0 from scratch (read: empty harddiscs) and the
first bootup failed due to the missing /var/lock/subsys (failed is not the
right word here, but there were many timeouts, so I reboot and create the
directory manuelly). Later sendmail failed due to the missing
/var/spool/mail. Very mysterious...

Well after reading the documentation and regetting the config from my old
suse /etc/ dir everything was fine.
