Hi all,

does anyone know how to configure Xemacs so that info works under Mandrake
6.1? The problem is that all the info files are in .bz2 format, but emacs
doesn't automatically call bunzip2 before processing them, so it just
gives empty directories. The brute force solution is to unzip all files,
but it would be nice to have the space savings while info still working.
Any ideas?

On a related note (question to Mandrake developers), why did you remove
the tex-site.el file from the AucTeX package? That's where all the
autoload commands for that package are, and whithout it I ended up having
to call all the subpackages by hand (the INSTALLATION notes file was also
missing, which has useful information to get it going). Did I miss
something here? I ended up just reinstalling the package from the original
ftp site. I think it's *great* that you include XEmacs, but it seems the
packaging is still a little rough around the edges.

Cheers,

fernando
