Hello all,
I have had nearly the same symptoms with KDE as this user.
As any user, root or otherwise, kpanel buttons do nothing, desktop icons do
nothing. I tried starting kpanel from a terminal. When I then tried clicking
some buttons on kpanel, it gave me KFM NOT READY errors. Of course KFM is up
because I have my desktop icons. Quite broken. I also tried re-installing all
of the 1.1.2 rpms to no avail, and deleted the .kde directory in both root and
my user folder with no change in functionality. Hope someone can help with
this.
Thanks,
Tim Lewis
