Warning...the S3 Virge DX/GX series has a nasty little "bug" when it
comes out of X back into console mode that can only be fixed by
rebooting. The text get's oversized and missing characters.
Supposedly that's been fixed in the latest X, but I haven't tested it
yet. I have an S3 Virge GX and was disappointed to see that it had
this behavior. But, I work around it by staying in X almost
exclusively and opening console/Konsole windows when I need to be in
text-mode. :-)
