I recently had problems with printing too, until I saw that queing was
disabled!!
I do not know if this has to do with Mandrake 6.0 installed, but I didn't
have any problems with printing before.
Once the queueing was enabled - printing was up and running.
use lpc and after the prompt lpc> a '?' for help on commands
