Interesting, I printed out /etc/services (on my RH 5.2 box) and there is no listing for linuxconf or port 98! (And yes my RH 5.2 box listens on port 98.) /etc/services is the first thing I checked. BTW: I HATE linuxconf! I still use Control-panel as much as possible and will hate to see it's demise. Rick,
