I think the problem is here, your routes seem to be false. You should
have something like this :
127.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 255.0.0.0 U 0 0 0 lo
192.168.1.0 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 U 0 0 0 eth0
0.0.0.0 your_gw 0.0.0.0 U 0 0 0 eth0
Is it what you have ?
