I got my Oracle8i CD from redHat in the mail last week and have been trying
(unsuccesfully) to install the *&*%$@# thing for a whole week.
My main question is probably related to my java install, as the install
completes to the end and ends with the following error
Unable to initialize therads: Cannot find class java/lang/thread could not
start java vm
After the install, any of the scripts that were created by the installation,
give the same error.
Does anyone have any idea of where to begin?
Has anyone installed the CD from RedHat/Oracle?
Have I done something completely stupid?
