It was all of my own doing - I installed the 2.2.13-22 RPM, then for some
reason which seemed perfectly valid at the time, but which eludes me
completely now, I did a "make modules" and "make modules_install", which seemed
to reduce everything to non-functioning status in record time!
Luckily, it wasn't a PC which I desperately needed to use, so I took the
cowards way out and re-installed everything. :-)
