Now this is really beginning to bug me....has anyone found a method to
make Netscape 4.61/4.7 stable under Mandrake/Redhat when Java is
enabled?
It appears that I can make it fallover almost within 30sec of starting 2
sessions of netscape if I switch between each started session using my
home page of www.ozemail.com.au.
If I do an strace on both of them when it fails the usual sign is no
screen updates and the strace says something along the lines of.....
--- SIGALRM (Alarm clock) ---
gettimeofday({942669088, 113571}, NULL) = 0
sigreturn() = ? (mask now [])
--- SIGALRM (Alarm clock) ---
gettimeofday({942669088, 161492}, NULL) = 0
sigreturn() = ? (mask now [])
--- SIGALRM (Alarm clock) ---
gettimeofday({942669088, 213665}, NULL) = 0
sigreturn() = ? (mask now [])
--- SIGALRM (Alarm clock) ---
gettimeofday({942669088, 261542}, NULL) = 0
sigreturn() = ? (mask now [])
--- SIGALRM (Alarm clock) ---
gettimeofday({942669088, 313570}, NULL) = 0
sigreturn() = ? (mask now [])
--- SIGALRM (Alarm clock) ---
gettimeofday({942669088, 361491}, NULL) = 0
sigreturn() = ? (mask now [])
--- SIGALRM (Alarm clock) ---
gettimeofday({942669088, 413538}, NULL) = 0
sigreturn() = ? (mask now [])
+++ killed by SIGKILL +++
I think you get the idea ;)
Has anybody any clue on whats going on here?? This is annoying as hell
and I'm almost ready to just trash netscape because its hopeless at
present ;((
So far I have not been able to get it to crash when Java is
disabled......sad but true...
