Dear Civilme: Thanks so very much for sharing your experiences with StarOffice, especially the part about backup. Maybe that's what they mean by backup -- sort of like Sentry in Dos/Windows3.1, where the backup is hidden until and unless you delete it. Then you go to Sentry, which can restore your file intact. What do you think? What are the experiences of other StarOffice users? Can you actually see a backup of a file (assuming that you checked "Always create backup copy" under Options, General, Save)? Do you see a file that says: foo.bak or something like that (e.g. as in WordPerfect). Or is the backup hidden, as Civilme suggests? My Que book on StarOffice states that you should see a foo.bak up file along with your original saved file. Please let us know. Thank yo so very much.
