[expert] Internal Modem on a notebook ( Compaq Armada 700 )

Hi gents,
My boss has just given to me a notebook Compaq Armada 700.
After having problem to configure XFree on it ( the video card is a Rage
Mobility P ) everuthing is going OK.
Now my Linux ( Mandrake 6.1 ) doesn't recognize the internal Modem ( I suppose
it is a Compaq modem built by 3 COM )
Does anyone knows how to configure it or where I can find some informations ?
