I know this is off-topic for the list but I haven't got an answer from the
VMware-list that has been helpful for me. Is anybody using the bi-directional
parallel port in VMware on LM6.1? I installed the latest vesion, it detects the
parport0, but when I boot LM6.1 I get the message during the VM modules that
parport0 was detected at IRQ 7; and then it tells me to enable it with procfs.
When I look at parport0 in /proc/ it saya irq=none. How can I change this to 7
and make the change stay through subsequent reboot so VMware will see the
parport? Thanks for your time!
