[expert] FTP installations

Hello All, Happy Holidays;

I got a new computer and decided to install Mandrake 6.1 via FTP. So, I have
downloaded the netboot.img and PCMCIA.img files created the floppies. When I
start the installation everything is fine the site is found and the initial
files from "base" directory is retrieved. Then; when it is trying to create
the ramdisk it crashes with a message like this:

Unable to create modules/modules.cgz: because the filesyetem is read-only.

What is going on? I tried several sites with the same result. Any help would
be appreciated.
