Somebody says kernel-2.2.x support for tv-cards is not good.
Then they suggest to use the the bttv package "by hand"
The procedure is to compile a new own tv-module and to install
it using the script "update" who is enclosed in the
bttv-0.6.4h.tar.gz package.
In my opinion the more important lines of "update" are:
==================
# ... and load the new ones
xinsmod videodev
xinsmod i2c verbose=1 scan=1 i2c_debug=1
test -f i2c_chardev.o && xinsmod i2c_chardev
xinsmod tuner debug=0 type=0
xinsmod msp3400 debug=1 simple=0x20
xinsmod bttv radio=1
===================
I did that successfully with Mandrake-6.1, but it doesn't
work with Mandrake-7.0
