I need to see the outputted smb.conf file and the /var/spool/lpd/lp/.conf files
to be sure, but I think I can guess the problem. Also, I need to know if in
the Win98 Registry
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\VxD\VNETSUP
has a Dword Value entitled "EnablePlainTextPassword" with a value of 000000001D
or not.
There are three or four possibilities. I doubt this is broken, most likely a
difference in configuration. I have an ugly workaround if nothing else
suffices, but I don't use it any longer.
