[expert] Problem with Kernel

Hi:

I have mandrake 6.1 and I have compiling the kernel, no problem with this,
On the moment on the load the kernel the message is:

Loading.........................
Uncompresing Linux.......,Ok, booting the kernel

And no more, what happen with this?...never the kernel load with mandrake,
with others distributions ( Red Hat 6.1 or Slackware ) no problem but with
mandrake yes..

Is a problem of Mandrake 6.1?.....
