Well, lemme see.
I burned CDs with 6.0
I burned CDs with 6.1
I burned CDs with 7.0
I have been trying to figure how I might reproduce the errors
he's having.
I can't seem to accomplish it.
I call cdrecord from my own python script to break a big disk
into CD-Rs without compression, because I also use it for
backup. Mine burned just fine at 1x, 2x, and 4x.
Now using windows several months ago on the same rig, I had
difficulties with 4x recording which don't seem to carry over to
linux.
Now One computer here would not install 7.0--it was hanging at
the same point in copying every time. I substituted a CD Drive I
knew was good and the error vanished. I know it isn't what
anyone likes to hear, but at this point I would suspect hardware.
